ABOUT

Our Mission
Moore 44 empowers young people by enriching their lives through baseball, with a focus on officiating and the broader skills and opportunities that extend across baseball and other sports.

Who We Are
Founded by Major League Baseball Umpire Malachi Moore, Moore 44 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing youth for success both on and off the field. By using baseball as a foundation, the organization teaches confidence, discipline, and leadership while introducing pathways in officiating, coaching, and other roles that keep young people engaged in sports and community.

What We Do
Moore 44 provides hands-on training programs, including the annual Umpire Camp at the Major League Baseball Youth Academy in Compton, CA. These programs offer direct instruction from experienced mentors, equipping participants with officiating skills, knowledge of the game, and the life lessons that sports uniquely provide.

Community Commitment
At Moore 44, service is central. Each December, the organization hosts a holiday toy drive in connection with the Umpire Camp, giving back to local families and showing participants the importance of leadership through service.

Our Impact
By focusing on officiating and the transferable skills of sports, Moore 44 helps young people discover opportunities beyond playing, shaping them into confident leaders who are ready to make a positive impact in their communities.
